Heinz Julen Loft is a luxury chalet in Zermatt, one of the most uniquely designed properties in the Alps, a spacious option for smaller groups of up to 6 guests. The airy, open chalet features an avant-garde contemporary style, with flexible services, a stunning location and beautiful views over the charming mountain village.
Designed by the renowned Zermatt architect and artist Heinz Julen, the loft features his distinctive, unconventional style throughout the property. The main living areas occupy a cavernous central room, with double-height ceilings and a facade of glass that blurs the boundary between the industrial chic living spaces and the snowy mountain landscape outside. The centrepiece of the living space is a suspended "floating" dining table and iconic seating on wheels, for social get-togethers. Raise the table completely and you have the perfect entertaining space. The industrial architectural style is softened and elevated with a stylish fireplace and grand piano, providing a classic luxury touch. On a mezzanine above, there's a secondary snug dining table, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a dedicated bar area. A large terrace running the breadth of the property brings you out into the fresh Swiss alpine air, and lets you marvel at the fantastic views along the valley.
Heinz Julen Loft comes equipped with some private wellness facilities, allowing you to fully unwind and relax after a day of exploring the resort and skiing in Zermatt. On the mezzanine floor, an open hot tub sits beside the smaller lounge area, a sumptuous spot to ease any tired ski legs. A floor above, just outside the main Master suite, Heinz Julen Loft also features a revitalising sauna.
The loft-like chalet-apartment can sleep up to 6 guests in total, spread across three generous bedrooms. The master suite has a sharp design, with plush furnishings and stylish wooden interiors that give the room an alpine quality, contrasting with the glass walls of the other more modern bedrooms. The master suite also benefits from a luxurious Jacuzzi bathtub, sat at the foot of the main bed. The other two rooms are fixed Austrian twin rooms, with all bedrooms also enjoying a private en-suite shower room.
An internal elevator can take you between the main and mezzanine levels of Heinz Julen Loft.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the property for up to 6 guests and is offered with full gourmet catering, open drinks bar, daily housekeeping, and in-resort electro-taxi on arrival & departure.

Heinz Julen Loft is located in a discrete position, high on the hillside above the village centre, providing a fantastic vantage point to appreciate the mountain views. To reach this elevated hillside spot, guests are given access to the lift in the Omnia Hotel, from which a short uphill walk brings you to the chalet.
Leaving the chalet, you are just a 5-minute walk (via the Omnia lift) to reach the main centre of Zermatt and the popular Bahnhofstrasse, a lively street bustling with a mix of luxury and souvenir shops, stylish bars, and excellent restaurants.
When heading skiing, you can access the slopes via the Gornergrat mountain railway (10 minutes walk), or the Sunnegga funicular (13 minutes walk), both in the centre of town. Alternatively, around 17-minutes walk away or 5-minutes in an electro-taxi, you'll find the Matterhorn Express gondola, which provides easiest access to the Italian-side of the ski area and Cervinia.
