Ultimate Meribel
The French ski resort of Méribel is located in the Three Valleys, Europe’s largest linked ski area. From its great position smack bang in the middle, sandwiched between Courchevel and Val Thorens, visitors have fantastic access to the 600km of pistes that the Three Valleys has to offer.
Méribel itself is split into a variety of hamlets, all offering the discerning visitor something a little different. Lively Meribel is home to a number of luxury ski chalets, bars, boutique outlets and shops selling both ski equipment and local Savoyard delicacies. A short walk from the centre you’ll find luxury ski chalets in Meribel Les Allues, a traditional village with a direct gondola to the centre.
Just a couple of miles from the centre of town sits Meribel Village, a relatively new and small village with its own chairlift straight up to Meribel Altiport where learners can find some fantastic blue and green slopes. Le Raffort village can also be found on the outskirts of town, with just and handful of Meribel chalets, one restaurant and a gondola straight to the main resort. Meribel Mottaret, usually just known as Mottaret is a purpose-built resort slightly higher up the mountain at 1700m offering fantastic ski access, good restaurants and bars.
Meribel is a hugely popular resort lending easy access to Courchevel and St Martin de Belleville on the way to Les Menuires and Val Thorens – whilst offering a wide array of luxury ski chalets in France to rest your tired limbs at the end of a long day on the slopes.
Here’s a selection of some of our favourite Ultimate Luxury Chalets in Meribel:

The huge open plan living and dining area is the ideal place for entertaining or just sitting back and relaxing in front of the open fireplace. Down one floor from the living area you’ll find the boot room with an exit out to the balcony with outdoor hot tub, and the exit to the slopes. Finally on the lowest floor is the cinema room with sumptuous sofas for chilling out, the steam room and shower room, and of course the gym room for…well…not chilling out!
Mont Tremblant is possibly up there as the ultimate in ultimate catered ski chalets with its modern style and design. Located on the Route de l’Agentila in the heart of Méribel (just a 10 minute walk to the town centre), this outstanding luxury chalet is incredibly spacious and accommodates up to 12 guests.
The entire entrance floor is flooded with natural light from the huge windows throughout. The double height lounge is the perfect place for kicking back on the big seating area which sits opposite a welcoming open fireplace. The kids (or adults) can enjoy the cosy snug. The large dining area gives a fantastic view of the mountains and even comes complete with it’s own bar for a pre or post dinner drink. On the lower ground floor you’ll find the cinema room complete with surround sound and a well stocked DVD library. In the same room you also have a pool table and bar, great for a reception or after dinner drinks. Stepping outside onto the expansive terrace, you’re immediately met with the heated infinity pool with jet stream and also the raised hot tub which boast some amazing views.
On the road up to Meribel 1600 lies Chalet Pont du Cam, a really unique luxury chalet to our portfolio. It’s contemporary look and feel is carried through its 3 floors and 450 metre squared area. The first class luxury chalet sleeps up to 14 guests spread throughout 7 bedrooms and even an extra bedroom which would be suitable for staff.
The chalet boasts a large open-plan living and dining area with a lovely fireplace as the centrepiece and unique feature lighting. This floor also has some great views out of the windows down the Méribel valley – great for watching the sun set in the evening, or rise if you’re an early-bird! The chalet also features a whopping 8 seat hot tub to indulge in with a glass of champagne, maybe after a short session in the hammam! There is also a cinema room as with the other chalets in this list and a pool table in the living area.
