Chamonix has a lot to offer for the upcoming 2015/2016 ski season including a brand new freestyle snowpark, one of the biggest in Europe will be located on the Balme slopes in La tour. This 1000m long and 100m wide freestyle area will be situated to right of the “Téléski du Col” and accessed by a dedicated téléski and a 4 person chairlift. There will be several runs to cover various levels of skiers and snowboarders and a “Cool Zone” for relaxation, complete with sound-system!
Mont Blanc also features the Chamonix Sky Walk which is well worth a visit if you have the stomach for it! Accessed by the Aiguille du Midi (free with an MBU pass) the Chamonix Sky Walk has become one of the most popular places in the world to pop that all important question! So gentleman, be prepared if you are taking your lady up there.
The nearest airport to Chamonix is Geneva with a 1 hour transfer time. The resort itself sits at 1035m altitude and the highest lift is at 3842m.
