Why You Shouldn’t Ski in Courchevel! A Guide to the Top Non-Skier Activities

Why You Shouldn't Ski in Courchevel! A Guide to the Top Non-Skier Activities in Courchevel for your ski holiday in the Three Valleys

Why shouldn’t you ski in Courchevel? It’s simple. There is so much else going on for the Courchevel non-skier!

For some people, the mountains don’t mean skiing all day every day, or for some, skiing at all. This may surprise you, but even as a “Ski Specialist” I agree! There is a lot that the Alps has to offer besides skiing, and this is more than the case in Courchevel 1850 and its sister villages.

In this blog, I delve into the long list of non-skiing activities in Courchevel to give you my top recommendations of things to do off the pistes. Some are snow related for winter fun, and others are to avoid just that. It’s yours to choose. Why bother to go endlessly and repetitively up and down a mountain when you could try something new?

Aquamotion

Aquamotion in Courchevel is the perfect non-skiing activity for families, those looking to relax away from the slopes or for a further workout.

Do you fancy getting out of the cold for a little while? Then the superb Aquamotion centre should be at the top of your list. Whether you are keen to keep up your fitness in the lap pool, relax in the wellness area or take the kids to enjoy the “Aqualudique” and surf zone, this is sure to entertain. Talking from experience, the wellness area is such a great place for unwinding and relieving tension. Even the most avid skier may think twice about heading onto the pistes when you show them where you’re heading.

What’s on offer?

Fitness – 25m swimming pool with lanes, indoor rock climbing and fitness classes.
Kid fun – Leisure pool, water slides, diving pit, surf zone and children’s play area.
Relaxation – Pools with jets and bubbles, Jacuzzis, sauna, steam rooms, salt pool, caldarium, exterior pools, aromatherapy and massage and beauty treatment rooms.

Aquamotion is situated in between Courchevel Village (1550) and Courchevel Moriond (1650). With facilities like this in the valley, it is one of the reasons we say it’s not all about Courchevel 1850.
