Ultimate Ski Bucket List – Top 10 Nightclubs in Ski Resorts

Doudoune, one of the best nightclubs in ski resorts in the Alps, located in Val d'Isère.For some of us, après ski and a gourmet meal is more than enough to finish off a great day skiing before hitting the sheets. But for those who want to hit the town instead, you might be wondering where are the best places to go? Which are the best ski resorts for nightlife, and which are the best nightclubs in these ski resorts? Thankfully, as a continuation of our Ultimate Bucket List series, following on from the best non-skiing mountain activities, we have taken a look at some of the best nightclubs in ski resorts. A list of 10 of the best places to party in the Alps until the early hours of the morning.

No matter if you’re still dancing in your ski boots from après or dressed to impress, there are nightclubs in ski resorts to suit your preferences. Whether you’re looking for a place to dance with your favourite DJ, or want to enjoy some fine dining before partying the night away, there are clubs for all types of revellers. Nightclubs in ski resorts aren’t solely about pounding dance music in crowded rooms. Although, of course, there are clubs for that too if that’s what you’re looking for!

With so many clubs all staking their claim to be the best party venue in the Alps, we’ve put together a list of what we think are some of the very best. Nightclubs that are well-worth the sleepy start and headache on the slopes of the first run the following day.

#60: Farm Club, Verbier

Revelry on New Year's at Farm Club Verbier nightclub. The word “institution” can often be overused, but Farm Club in Verbier is exactly that. Operating for over 50 years, first established in 1971, Farm Club is one of the oldest nightclubs in the Alps, and enjoys a legendary reputation. Verbier already has renown as one of the best party ski resorts in Europe, and a night of revelry in this nightclub in Verbier is at the top of our bucket list. The classy club has been a favourite for all types of international clientele, including celebrities and royalty, with past guests including David Bowie, Roger Federer and Diana Ross.

The two Italian brothers who founded this Verbier nightclub, Serafino and Guiseppe Berardi, set the tone from the start, wearing dinner jackets every night. While not a compulsory dress code, there’s nothing quite like suiting up, heading to this timeless establishment, and partying through until 4am at least once on your luxury ski holiday to Verbier.

#59: La Mangeoire, Courchevel 1850

La Mangeoire is both a restaurant and a nightclub in Courchevel 1850, seen here set up for dinner service before the party begins.La Mangeoire is more of an atypical nightclub than you might be used to, but one definitely worth visiting. This is a popular Savoyard restaurant-turned-nightclub in Courchevel 1850. With a great atmosphere and excellent food, you can enjoy a sophisticated start to your evening as you indulge in regional specialities.

After dinner is where the evening takes off. Table cloths are stripped off, smoke machines start blasting and from where you were once eating you’re now dancing on the table and hanging from the ceilings. From an experience perspective, nothing comes close. It’s no surprise our sister brand, Ski In Luxury, has already highlighted it as one of the best places to go for après in Courchevel.

#58: Doudoune, Val d’Isère

Doudoune Club, a nightclub in Val d'Isère beneath the après bar of Cocorico.Located at Val d’Isère’s main snow front, you will find the legendary venue Doudoune. A spacious dance floor is accompanied by vibrant light shows, glittering disco balls and great DJ sets into the early hours of the morning.

#57: Murrmel Bar, St Anton

Live music at Murrmel Bar, a bar and nightclub in St Anton, Austria. If you want to keep the party going after legendary après sessions at Mooserwirt or Krazy Kanguruh in St Anton, there are plenty of options for bars and nightclubs in St Anton. However, top of our list is Murrmel Bar, located in the centre of the resort. Undergoing renovations for a grand re-opening for the 24/25 ski season, Murrmel Bar is sure to deliver the same thrills, fun and excitement as it has done season after season.

A fantastic spot for burgers and drinks, the bar then transforms into a nightclub in the evening, with music and dancing until the early hours of the morning. Whether they’re showcasing live music or DJs, it’s impossible not to be in the party mood at Murrmel Bar.

#56: STRIKE, Tignes

One of the newest nightclubs in ski resorts on our list, STRIKE in Tignes.STRIKE, stylised as Str!ke, is one of the more recently established venues on our bucket list. However, while it might not have the heritage and history of some of the other nightclubs in ski resorts we have mentioned, it more than makes up for this with its atmosphere and offering. Occupying a former bowling alley, this 1,200m² venue in Tignes Le Lac can offer guests two different experiences depending on what time you arrive. From 8pm to 11pm, STRIKE has a lively bar atmosphere, where you can enjoy interesting music, admire the street art décor, take advantage of the photo booth and enjoy some snacks. From 11pm, the transformation to nightclub takes place, with big name artists, DJ sets and live bands being on the artistic menu.

STRIKE is brought to you by the same team behind Chalet Quezac in our Tignes ultra-luxury chalet collection. As such, you can rest assured that the quality of this nightclub is second to none!

#55: King’s Social House, St Moritz

A bottle of Dom Perignon (left) and the DJ deck and glitterball (right) at King's Soial House, one of the fanciest nightclubs in ski resorts to be found in St Moritz.King’s Social House, formerly King’s Club, prides itself on being the oldest nightclub in Switzerland. Found in the basement of the incredible 5* Badrutt’s Palace hotel, this St Moritz nightclub is glitzy and glamorous. Similar to the aforementioned Le Mangeoire in Courchevel 1850, King’s Social House has a dual focus. Firstly, it is a restaurant, serving modern bistro-style food at the highest level of cooking, a fun and interactive dining experience. But secondly, and most importantly for our list, King’s Social House is a chic and sophisticated bar/nightclub.

Dress to impress, sample the array of amazing cocktails, and dance well into the night. Anyone who’s anyone wants to be seen partying at King’s Social House, one of the most lavish and best nightclubs in ski resorts.

#54: Club Mamacita, Zermatt

#53: Sully’s, Méribel

One of the best ski resorts for nightlife, Méribel's top recommendation for us is Sully's Bar.Sully’s is a top bar and nightclub in Méribel, the number one place for late night parties in resort. Sully’s is welcoming to everyone, whether you’re a holidaymaker or seasonnaire, tourist or local, this nightclub doesn’t discriminate on who gets to join in on the fun! Beneath the domed ceilings of exposed rock, get swept up in the ebullient atmosphere on display.

The bar seamlessly transitions from pub to club across the course of the night, where you’ll go from playing a game of pool one moment to wondering how you’ve spent the last hour on the dance floor the next! With music on until late seven nights a week, it really is one of the best ski resort nightclubs for a memorable party.

#52: Broken Bar, Zermatt

Broken Bar, another of the best nightclubs in Zermatt. If you want a change-up from Club Mamacita, Zermatt has another fantastic nightclub only across the street. Head into the Unique Hotel Post and you will find five different establishments for drinking and dancing. Any one of them is a great place for spending the evening after skiing. There’s the cosy Brown Cow Pub, the chic Papa Caesar bar, and Pink for live music. Two of these venues operate as nightclubs until the early hours, and while there is something to be said for the sophisticated lounge for over 25s that is The Loft Club, it is the Broken Bar that reigns supreme for our pick of best nightclubs in ski resorts.

Located in the hotel’s cellar, descend into a night of ultimate partying where you can dance on the club’s famed giant barrel. While you can never go wrong with beers and spirits, a magnum of Champagne is the ultimate way to celebrate. Popular with locals and visitors alike, you can find yourself partying until 5am.
