Verbier Impulse Festival

2016 hails the start of something quite special in Verbier. All over the Alps, music festivals seem to be popping up – from Rock the Pistes in Portes du Soleil, to Zermatt Unplugged in….well, Zermatt. Now Verbier is the next to take on the challenge with its new festival, Verbier Impulse, on the weekends of 8th – 10th and 15th – 17th April.

For its first year, Verbier Impulse has certainly pulled out all the stops to make sure that there are plenty of varied and high-quality bands playing different venues all around resort. The line-up is in the same format for both weekends; a group performing covers on the Friday, an international star on Saturday and then a Swiss star on Sunday.

The resort has worked hard to build a fantastic snow stadium between Fontanets and Chalet Carlsberg – named the Attelas Arena. This stage will host the big name artists such as Cornish export Charlie Winston (the French love him!), Scottish pop-rock band Texas and Swiss pop band Mnemosyne to name but a few.

Other venues include the 1936 stage (just below the Bar 1936 located on the Combe piste), Le Carrefour (between the two ski areas) and Mouton Noir (just to the right of the Ruinettes lift). On Friday and Saturday, bands play until the late hours down in resort (in Crock No Name Bar and Casbah Nightclub)

And one of the best parts about the festival is that entrance is free of charge with your lift pass!

It’s still not too late to book and experience this season’s festival, with conditions in resort still fantastic and many exceptional late chalet offers in Verbier. Chalet Chouqui, Verbier

In my opinion, this is the Beatles of the chalet world. It’s not Liverpudlian, but it is something really special and I’m sure will become timeless in years to come. You could look all ‘Across the Universe’ and not find a luxury ski chalet quite like this. Like the Fab Four sang in ‘Revolution 9’ – number 9, number 9, number 9, number 9, and so on, there are 9 bedrooms in Chouqui, one being the magnificent master bedroom, one quad bunk room and 7 splendidly-sized twin/superking rooms. The sumptuous beds will be much needed after a ‘Hard Day’s Night’.

You can ‘Come Together’ and relax in the plush living area with friends and family and the amazing spa facilities are there for you to use ‘Any Time at All’. ‘If You’ve Got Trouble’ with your aching joints then the outdoor hot tub with astounding views will be much needed.

And what to say about the service? Well I can assure you that ‘Every Little Thing’ will be taken care of.
